William Lee Compton Sr.

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. Mr. William Lee Compton of Bell Drive in Hephzibah died at his home on Monday, May 28, 2012. He was 85 years old. Mr. Compton was cremated and all services will be private. Mr. Compton is survived by his daughter, JoLee Marie Long of Hephzibah; his son, William Lee Compton Jr. of Hephzibah; his grandchildren, Mark Long, David Scott Compton, Rebecca Diann Green, Jessica Compton, Alicia Marie Compton; his brother, Jim Compton and his wife Janice of Gaffney, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his wife of more than 62 years, Mrs. Joyce Marie Pilyaw Compton; daughter, Angela Compton Reese; his parents, Thomas Carl Compton and Lona Lee. Mr. Compton was a Radio and TV Repair Instructor at Augusta Tech.; he loved his God, His country, and his family. Mr. Compton served his country for 20 years in the US Army.
