Tony Horne, 48, of Augusta, Georgia, passed away in Macon, Georgia on August 20, 2026.
Born in Augusta, Georgia to William “Dickie” Horne and Donna “Lady” Horne on August 10, 1978. Growing up Tony and his brother, Shane, shared an especially close bond, making countless memories playing sports, riding four-wheelers, enjoying the river, and cheering on their beloved Georgia Bulldogs. Some of Tony’s greatest joy came from being a father. He spent much of his life being the fun, playful dad his children could always count on creating laughter, adventure, and memories they will carry with them forever.
Tony became a father at a young age, welcoming his first three children, Anthony (Ashley), Kirsten (Darla), and Kelsey (Blaze), while still in high school. Later, he welcomed Dallas and Bailey into his life and raised them as his own, and in 2016, he welcomed his youngest son, Keaton Bray. In 2024, he became a grandfather for the first time to his beloved grandson, Lincoln.
His life was marked by both love and hardship, and he fought a difficult battle with his mental health for many years. In the end, that battle became one he could no longer overcome. Through the challenges he faced, the one thing that remained constant was the deep and unwavering love he had for his children.
He is survived by his children, his father, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who loved him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his mother, his brother, and his “Mawmaw.”
May he find the peace he struggled so hard to find in life, and may those who loved him remember the pieces of him that brought joy, laughter, adventure, and love into their lives.
