Memorial Services for Mr. Ted Allen Baker II, 65, who entered into rest June 9, 2026, will be held Saturday, June 13, at 3pm in the Fairhaven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Justin Braun officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Baker was born in Exeter, CA, moving to Georgia at a young age. He lived in Waynesboro and Augusta having made Augusta his home for over 47 years. He was a Master Carpenter where you could find him working along side his brother and dad either with JC Stockton & Son's or self employed for many years.
Some of his greatest joy’s were watching his son play sports, starting with T-Ball through High School; his granddaughters, Hosanna and Gloribeth who he cherished, and anything involving History. He loved animals especially his fur babies.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Jenny Lynn Smith, to most known as Patch.
He is survived by his wife, Sheryl Baker of 39 years; son, Ted Allen (Mary Beth) Baker III; granddaughters, Hosanna and GlorIbeth; brother, Howard (Angela) Baker; sisters, Carole Wilson and Vicki L. (Paul) Boyd; four nieces; three nephews; two great-nieces; four great-nephews and many very special friends who are family.
He was affectionally known as Big Ted, Teddy, Dad and Uncle Ted among a couple of other names that were special between him and his wife. He loved quietly most times but always deeply.
The family would like to extend its gratitude and love to the MSA Hospice team - Cheryl, Dennie, Kirk and Melanie - for the love, care and support that they gave to Ted and the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions in Ted's name to any animal shelter of your choice in honor of his love for animals.
