Sidney Ardell Malpass, Beloved husband of Patricia Love Malpass, entered eternal rest on December 21, 2025.
Mr. Malpass was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired Safety Manager with Thompson Construction Group, Sumpter, SC. He retired in 2022, his career spanned all but 7 of the United States and the Bahamas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James T. Malpass, Jr. and Mrytle Flakes Malpass; a sister, Ida Bridges; four brothers, James T. Malpass III, Raymond Malpass, Johnny Malpass and Richard Malpass.
Mr. Malpass is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia; three daughters, Pamela Richardson - Grovetown, April Durell - Sardis, Ga and Dana Gamble - Ft. Myers Fl.; five sons, Tom (Deana) McDorman - Alexandria VA, Josh (Tonya Tucker) Love - Grovetown, Franklin (Aggravate Me) Malpass, Jamie (Teruko) Malpass - Harlem and Josh Powell (a bonus son born of his heart); 26 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; five sisters-in-law, Ann Hokrein, Darlene Watts, Virginia Love, Pam Hall Love and Bridget Love; best friends, Ricky Miller, Mickey McLeroy and Mary Pope and numerous nephews and nieces.
Pastor David Brooks, Belair Church Grovetown GA will perform the memorial service on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 12pm at Belair Church 599S. Old Belair Rd, Grovetown GA. Eulogy by Kayla Malpass. Visitation will be from 11am - 12pm.
In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted for Belair Church children's church fund.
