Shon Sherman McKinnon

Shon Sherman McKinnon was born on November 1, 1950, in Charleston, West Virginia, and passed away on October 12, 2025, in Augusta, Georgia.

Shon lived a life rooted in family, loyalty, and enduring love. For over 40 years, he shared his life with his wife, Tamsen. Their journey together was one of commitment, perseverance, and deep connection. Through life’s joys and challenges, they remained side by side, building a family and a lifetime of memories that will forever be treasured.

Shon was a man of quiet strength and a steady heart. He loved deeply, even if he didn’t always need many words to show it. His presence brought comfort, his guidance brought reassurance, and his love shaped the lives of his children and grandchildren.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Tamsen; his children, Elizabeth; Glenn; Sherman and his wife Andrea; Hanna and her husband Kole Tisland; Elsa and her husband Justin Gray; and Eythan and his wife Abigail.

He was a proud grandfather to Amelia and Eythan II, children of Eythan and Abigail. He also held close to his heart Skye, Tidus, and Karra, the three nieces and nephews lovingly taken in and raised by Hanna and Kole. Family meant everything to Shon, and he embraced every child connected to his family with love.

Shon’s life was not measured by grand gestures, but by the devotion he showed to those closest to him. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.

His love and legacy will continue through the family he cherished.
