Sharon Rene Lovette

Sharon Rene Lovette, 52, of Augusta, Georgia passed away peacefully in the evening hours of July 16, 2026 at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta, Georgia surrounded by her loving family.

Sharon, affectionally known as Rene, was born in Augusta, Georgia on September 13, 1973. She was a lifelong resident of Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia and attended Butler High School. Rene was a woman of incredible strength, resilience, and love who was known for hard work and her unending faith. She had a way about her that could make anyone smile. Whenever she entered a room, she always filled the room with laughter and when she left the room, everyone was sure to get one of the best bear hugs. Nabob will be deeply missed, forever loved and always remembered.

Rene was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Cecil T. Laster; maternal grandmother, Sydney Laster; paternal grandfather, George Washington Goodman, Sr.; stepbrother, Jimmy White; aunt, Angie McGahee; paternal uncle, Robert William Goodman; and cousin, Tina Michelle “Boo” Jowers.

Rene is survived by her husband, Steven Lovette; her four children, Tracy McGee, James McGee, Todd Love, and Elizabeth Lovette; parents, James Elvin Goodman (Sandy) and Betty Jean Jacobs (Jake); sister, Jamie Goodman Fleming (Brendan); brother, James Elvin Goodman, Jr. (Dena); paternal grandmother, Mary Lucile Goodman; stepmother, Sherry Goodman; stepsister, Melissa White Demus (Israel); paternal aunt, Belinda Oaks (Mike); paternal uncle, George Washington Goodman, Jr. (Lynda) and many, many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 825 North Belair Road, Evans, GA 30809 officiated by Senior Pastor Greg Porterfield.
