Selena Diane Johnson, 41, of Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia, passed away on January 19, 2026 at 10:50pm in Augusta, Georgia.

Selena was born Augusta, Georgia to Julian F. Durden, Jr and Deborah Diane Kendrick Johnson on July 19,1984. She went to school in Burke County.

Selena is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Gussie Ingram Durden and Janale Dye; her mother, Deborah Diane Kendrick Johnson; and her son, Zayden Elijah Johnson.

Selena is survived by her four children, Zakeria Johnson, Anyia Johnson, Kierra Johnson and Catalaya Johnson; her sister, Teresa F. “Durden” (David) Mumford and brothers, Julian F, Durden III, Jackson Hallaway; her father, Julian F. Durden, Jr. Selena also had a Godmother she loved very much,  Catherine Young “Macat” and her children, Larry Hannah, Sedric Young, Isaiah Young, Michael Young, Nichole Young. She also had many cousins she loved very much. 

Memorials may be given to Waynesboro First Methodist Church at 802 N. Liberty St, Waynesboro, Ga 30830. 

The family of Selena Diane Johnson wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Emergency Department of Doctors Hospital.

Celebration of life will be held 2:00pm on February 10, 2026 at Waynesboro First Methodist Church at 802 N. Liberty St, Waynesboro, Ga 30830 with Pastor Keith of Waynesboro First Methodist Church officiating.
