Savanna Elaine Herrington, 21, of Augusta, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in Augusta, GA.
Savanna was a vibrant, beautiful soul whose presence brought light, laughter, and love to everyone around her. She had a way of making people feel seen and cared for, with a heart that was kind, loyal, and genuine. Her spirit was full of life, and her one-of-a-kind laugh is something those who loved her will carry with them forever. She loved spending time with her family and friends, who meant everything to her. Savanna had a passion for makeup, fashion, and art, and she expressed herself with creativity, confidence, and a natural sense of style. She enjoyed music, drawing, and had a deep love for animals. Whether she was with loved ones or doing something she enjoyed, Savanna lived fully and authentically.
Savanna was a student in the dental program at Augusta University and a graduate of Cross Creek High School, where she was also a member of the rifle team. She is the beloved daughter of Jessica Day Burman and David Herrington Jr. of Augusta, GA. She was a cherished sister to Matthew Burman Jr., Gabriella Ixcoy, and Gabriel Day, and a deeply loved granddaughter of Phyllis Day; Doug and Sveta Day; Mike Ciechan; and Penny Herrington.
She is also lovingly remembered by her aunts, Tina Day, Angie Day, and Aubrey Ciechan; her uncles, Richard Day and Andy Day; and her cousins, Preston, Payton, Cameron Fulmer, Aubrey, and Katie Day, along with many extended family members and friends who will forever hold her memory close. Though her time here was far too short, the love Savanna gave and the joy she brought into so many lives will never fade.
Her mother, Jessica Day Burman, lovingly shares: “Loving her was the easiest and most beautiful part of my life. She will always be so very special to me.”
A service to honor Savanna’s life will be held on April 25, 2026, at Fairhaven Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 12:00 noon. A private graveside service will follow at Westover Cemetery.
