Ronald Lester Blakey

Ronnie Blakey, a devoted pipefitter with Local 150 Union, passed away on March 3, 2026, at the age of 73. A lifelong resident of Hephzibah, Ga., Ronnie is remembered for his lifelong friendships, chicken on the grill, and love for western movies and rock & roll music. Preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Blakey, daughter, Rachel Blakey, and brother, Robert A. Blakey, Ronnie leaves behind his mother, Anita Blakey, sisters, Jeanette Thomas, Cynthia Reyna, and Opal Markell, daughter, Sharon Phillips, “son” Michael Evans, his grandchildren, Cody, Madison, Brandon, and Liberty, and several great-grandchildren. Funeral service and burial will be held at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 5060 Mike Padgett Hwy, Augusta, GA 30906, on Wednesday, March 11, at 11:00 am.
