ROBERT OSBORNE (BOB) PARRIOTT, entered into rest Monday, December 9, 2013. Funeral Service will be held at Westside Baptist Church, Martinez, Georgia, Thursday, December 12, at 2:00 p.m.; Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Westside Baptist on Thursday, December 12. Burial service will be at Westover Memorial Park 2601 Wheeler Road Augusta. Funeral Arrangements are with McNeill Funeral Home, Martinez, Georgia. Bob Parriott was born November 2, 1923, in Morgantown, West Virginia to William Osborne Parriott and Martha Wright Parriott. He had one brother, William Wright Parriott, deceased, whose memory he cherished. Bob served in the Army for two and a half years during WWII in the Pacific (Philippines, Australia and New Guinea). He was a 1948 graduate of West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia. He had a lifelong devotion to Morgantown and WVU, and kept up with daily life there through the Dominion Post newspaper. He made Augusta and North Augusta his home when he became employed at the Savannah River Plant in 1951. He first worked with DuPont Construction, and later as a Health & Safety Engineer with the Department of Energy. He retired from the Department of Energy in 1983. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Martinez for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Frances Way Parriott, son, Robert Osborne Parriott, Jr. daughter, Judith Brooke Parriott, Grandchildren: Joshua Ryan Parriott, Jessica Brooke Parriott, and Hale Osborne Parriott; Great Grandchildren: Stella Parriott, and Jaxon Parriott; Step Children: Dr. Hank and Dotty Edmondson, Step Grandchildren: Nathan Edmondson and wife Gretchen, Erin Edmondson, Jason Edmondson, and Kerrie Edmondson; Step Great Grandchild: Lily Edmondson.
