Mrs. Rebecca Young First Lady of His Community Church On June 18, 2011 Mrs. Rebecca Young entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.She was a dear wife to Rev. Ken Young, Sr for 48 years. They have served as Pastor & First Lady of His Community Church in Augusta , GA for 17 years. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm at His Community Church, 3358 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta. The funeral service will be conducted after the visitation, on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 2:00 pm at His Community Church, 3358 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.Interment will be a private service at Melrose Cemetery, near Villa Rica. Close to her heart were her three children, Mrs. Andrea Young Ezell (Terry), Mr. Ken Young, Jr (Jill), Mrs. Gigi Young Davis (Jim); six grandchildren who tenderly called her Gran, Mrs. Lauren Ezell Olds (Solomon), Ms. Alison Ezell, Mr. Caleb Young, Mr. Jacob Young, Mr. Gabriel Dickson, Ms. Bailee Dickson; and two great-grandchildren, Cash Olds and Presley Ferguson. In addition to her immediate family she had a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. As First Lady, she embraced the many friends at His Community Church with deep affection. She served in ministry with passion. Her smile, laughter, and uplifting words were freely given to all. She had a cheerful heart, a countenance of joy and always spoke with grace and kindness. She held a unique and notable gift of creativity which was admired by all who looked upon the work of her hands. Her endearing ways will be remembered by all who held her friendship.The love she displayed will be forever in script upon our hearts. May that love be an aspiration for everyone.
