Ras Gladin

R.E. Gladin Born in Augusta to Ras Erbie Gladin Sr. and Nina Mae Gladin, he attended ARC where he played on 3 State Championship baseball teams. Gladin was a 1958 graduate of UGA where he was a 4 year starting catcher and had a career batting average of .458 and he was known as “Augusta’s Bulldog.” Gladin went on to teach at ARC until he started his own CPA firm in Atlanta, Georgia. He is survived by his sister, Patricia Boose. Nephews Kenneth Boose (Maria) and Phillip Boose (Kim) and a host of great nephews and great nieces. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, June 15 at Westover Memorial Park.
