Nora J. Hannah

Nora J. Hannah, “The Silver Assassin”, 86, of Augusta, Georgia passed away on September 28, 2026.

Nora was born in Thunder Hawk, South Dakota to Charles and Harriette Hannah on November 16, 1939. She went to school in Lemmon, South Dakota.

She was a supervisor with Murray Biscuit Company for 19 years, manager at Substation II for 14 years, at Pizza Hut for 7 years and with Augusta Chronicle for 9 years.

She was a member of the American Pool Player Association (APA)’s pool league which is where she acquired the nickname “The Silver Assassin”. She played twice weekly beginning in 1988 and played in the ladies’ division monthly until the time of her death.

Nora was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lois Rathbun and Violet Hannah; daughter, Susan Colgrove Hill and grandson, Jason O’Tyson.

She is survived by her children, Lee (Patricia) Colgrove, Russell (Debra) Colgrove, Warren (Blanche) Colgrove, Cheryl (Robert) Smith and Diana Colgrove; grandchildren, Heather (Andrew) Curry, Jonathan (Lindsey) Colgrove, Jessica Hill, Raymond Hill, Jr., Matthew (Cassandra) Colgrove, Sarah (Hassan) Musleh, Leighanne Colgrove, Nikki Pollard, Jackie Crowe, Brittany Smith, Natalie Smith, DeAnn Colgrove, Faith (Micah) Worley, Larry (Sabrina) Watkins, Anna (Travis) Jones, Christina Neal, Jennifer Beasley and Richard (Cassidy) Beasley; 26 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; brother, David Hannah; sister, Sharon Hannah; special nieces and nephew, Charlene Keough, Susan Hannah and Jimmy Hannah; special friends, Linda Mills, Phillis Duggar, Jennifer and Jason Airey and Nancy Hudler; God-grandchildren, Abram and De’Juan and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
