Mildred Rabun Rabun

Mildred Virginia Rabun 79, entered into rest on Sunday July 1, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday July 6, 2018 at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 5060 Mike Padgett Hwy, Augusta with Pastor Bobby Tomlon officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery. She was born March 24, 1939 in Cross Anchor, SC to the late Alton “Pete” Johnson and Lillian Johnson Stephens. She was preceded in death by her husband Elwood Rabun; sons Michael Cato and Robert “Bobby “Cato; step daughter Sandra Bugg; 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors include her children Janet (Barry) Bennier, Union Point, GA Susan Izbicki, Parksville, SC, Terry Cato, Waynesboro; Lora Cato, Hodges, SC, Shannon Cato, Atlanta, Teresia Whisnant, Hammond (Lynn) Rabun, Elwood (Sherry) Rabun, Jr. and Michael (Robin) Rabun; Sister Diane Cato; Brothers Alex Stephens and Johnny Stephens. Grandchildren Andy Lyttle, Tamara (Patti) Rabun, Chris (Jennifer) Rabun, Rusty Lyttle, Cory Bennier, Rai Izbicki, Kenny Cato and Michael Cato. Great grandchildren Lexi Lyttle, Noah Lyttle, Ethan Rabun and Alyssa Rabun. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and was currently attending Bethel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Thursday evening at Poteet Funeral Home
