Mary Louise Strickland

Life Legacy Mary Louise Strickland Martinez, Ga.Mary Louise Strickland 81, of Martinez went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 29, 2013. Louise is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lettie Holley, her late husband MSG William Strickland, two brothers, Mitchell Holley, Bernard Holley and three sisters, Jewell Manning, Inez Knight and Mozelle Pippen. Louise is survived by three sisters, Marjorie Wood (Edward) of Winston-Salem, NC, Elva Gray Leiard and Erma Mason of Lillington, NC., three daughters, Phyllis McGahee(Michael), Bonnie Lanier (Don), Sue Bruce, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Louise was a homemaker and also retired from Hadden’s Jewelers. A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Marvin United Methodist Church with Rev. Elizabeth Ackerman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. A private burial will be held at a later time. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the United Hospice Staff, particularly Marty and Keisha for their support and loving care they showed their mom Louise. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Marvin United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
