Mary Elizabeth Bell (Betty) Reese

Mary Elizabeth Bell Reese (Betty), 84, Augusta GA, passed away on March 3rd,2022 at her home and was surrounded by her family. She was born to Vincent Bell and Mary Lillian Ross Bell in Augusta, March 18th, 1937. She attended school at Tubman and graduated from Richmond Academy. Betty enjoyed reading, sewing, spending weekends at the lake, watching the Georgia Bulldogs play on TV, and very much enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was preceded by in death by her parents and survived by her best friend and companion of 30 years Jay Godfrey, her children, Jerry Reese(Giselle), Jimmy Reese(Susie), Julie Hadden(Glen), seven grandchildren Heather Reese, April Morris, Melissa Reese, Jimmy Reese Jr, Jennifer Reese, Ellen Oliver, and Alicia Queen and eight great grandchildren. The Reese family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to two ladies from Regency Hospice who care for her as if she was kin to them. They are Madison and Amy. A Graveside service will be Tuesday, March 8th, 2022 at 11am at Westover Memorial Park Cemetery, 2601 Wheeler Road, Augusta, GA 30904. The Family will receive friends after the service.
