Mary Lee Peebles

Augusta, Georgia – Mrs. Mary Lee Peebles, of Augusta, entered into rest, on Sunday, February 2, 2014. She was 83 years old. Mrs. Peebles is survived by her daughters, Diane P. Avret, Dale P. Redfern, and her husband James; her sister, Veda ”Garland” Key; her brother, Donally “J.” Rollins and his wife, Nancy; four grandchildren, Christa Avret, Jimmy (Tiffany) Redfern, Matthew Redfern, and Brandon Redfern; two great grandchildren, Jacob Redfern, HailieRedfern; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. “Bud” Peebles. Mrs. Peebles attended Sherwood Baptist Church.Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Peebles was a production operator with the Kendall Company.She was a member of the DAV Auxiliary. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, 30906, 706.798.8886.Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park.Rev.
