Mary Lou Barrs

Mary Howard Barrs, age 68, entered her heavenly home on Friday, April 6, 2018. She will be dearly missed by loved ones, but we know she is at peace with Lord. She was born to the late Charles and Beulah Howard on March 20, 1950. She graduated form Augusta College and taught for many years in Richmond and Columbia Counties, retiring from Westmont Elementary. Mary was a member of Warren Baptist Church and she lived her life with a firm belief in God and prayer. She was a kind and gracious person and devoted “MiMi” to her granddaughters, Bella and Addison, as well as her two fur babies. Other survivors include her son, Chad Barrs and his father, Randy Barrs, half-brother, Charles Howard Jr., sister in laws, Chris Evans (Paul), Jackie Youngblood (Gary), Karen Davis, Diane Carnes (Tim), and many extended family members and friends. The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 11, 2018, 1:00 p.m., at Warren Baptist Church (Old Chapel) with Reverend Tim Carnes officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church form 12:00-1:00 prior to service.
