Mrs. Margie Crane was wife to the late Andrew "Roscoe" Crane of 55 years, she was entered into rest Wednesday November 14th, age 82. Margie was born in Augusta GA and shared her home between Augusta GA and Mountain Rest SC. She is the daughter of late Frank and Minnie Prickett. Margie is survived by her brothers and sisters Johnny Prickett of Windsor SC, Tommy Prickett of Windsor SC, Francis Joyner of Sardis GA, Mary Owens of Blythe GA, Patsy McClure of Clarksville TN, and David Prickett of Aiken SC. Margie has two sons, the late George Augustus Crane and Randy Thomas Crane and wife Laurie Crane, Two Grandson's Jeremy Ryan Crane and wife Erin of Charlotte NC and Evan Franklin Crane Evans GA. Margie was a homemaker and Teachers Aide Bungalow Elementary School. She enjoyed riding her bike, walking, flower gardens, talking with friends and family, bird watching, softball, climbing lighthouses, fishing, and caregiver for friends and family members. She was huge part of the family's involvement in Boy Scout of America Troop 126 and Fleming Baptist Church in her earlier years. She worked with March of Dimes, helped start newspapers and glass recycling efforts, bake goods sales, and BSA Parades. Margie's school years with Fleming Elementary School and a graduating Class of 1954 Richmond Academy Musketeers.She maintained relationships with school friends all of her life and enjoyed their continued friendship. Margie enjoyed being a teachers aide to elementary children and often told stories from those life memories.The school halloween events she dressed as a witch and she developed a unique witch's scream. She loved riding her bike to Fleming Park with her grandson, stores, and to her dentist appointments.Dr. Raburn told stories she would ride to her appointment and lean the bike against the pine tree. She was Dad's shop helper during the furniture, arts and craft years. The inspector and final finisher, she insured all was good to go before the most enjoyed annual Walhalla October Fest. Margie still holds the family record for the bass she caught. Margie was devoted to her family and left a beautiful legacy for them to follow. Funeral Services will 10AM Saturday Nov. 17, 2018 at Poteet Funeral Home,3465 Peach Orchard Road, with Pastor Jerry Owens officiating. Family will receive friends from 9 Am until service time. Graveside service at 3 PM at Oconee Memorial Park in Seneca SC.
