Margaret Mary Ciccia, 82, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, in Evans, Georgia. She was born on March 22, 1943, in Matawan, New Jersey, where she was raised and later graduated from St. Mary’s High School in South Amboy.
Margaret was married to the love of her life, Anthony “Tony” Ciccia, who honorably served in the United States Army for 23 years. Together they lived in many states and countries during his military career before eventually settling in Middletown, New Jersey, where they made their long-term home and raised their family.
Margaret worked for many years at the Middletown Township Public Library, a job she truly enjoyed and from which she eventually retired. She took great pride in her work and treasured the community she found there.
She was predeceased by her parents, George and Ann Magnenat; her husband, Anthony Ciccia; and her brother, George Magnenat.
Margaret is survived by her four children, Ann (Darryl) Walker, Michael Ciccia, Anthony Ciccia, and Aaron Ciccia; her grandchildren, Dr. Christopher Walker, Dr. Patrick (Dr. Lauren) Walker, Anthony Ciccia, Kayla Ciccia, Michael Ciccia, and Nicholas Ciccia; and her great-granddaughter, Mila Walker. She is also survived by her sister, Anne O’Connor, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Margaret cherished time spent with her family and friends and especially loved being a grandmother and aunt, affectionately known as Grammy and Aunt Gee. She enjoyed music, baking, and playing cards, and was known for her keen sense of style and always being fashionably dressed.
In accordance with her wishes, Margaret’s ashes will be transported from Georgia to New Jersey, where she will be laid to rest beside her loving husband, Anthony Ciccia. A committal service will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Keyport, New Jersey, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026.
