Manuela G Montgomery

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our deeply loved mother, Manuela G. Montgomery, age 64, of Aiken, South Carolina, on July 1, 2025. She bravely confronted lung cancer preceding a devastating stroke in January 2023. Manuela was born on January 31, 1961. She was raised by her parents, Helga and Gunter Markert in Germany, where she ultimately met and married Anthony Montgomery, a U.S. Army soldier. They moved to the U.S. in October 1988, eventually settling in Aiken. Manuela was proudly employed with Tri-Development Center of Aiken County for 22 years. Manuela is survived and dearly missed by her four children, Anthony Montgomery (wife Brittany) of Montmorenci, Andrew Montgomery (wife Gina), Marco Montgomery, and Michaela (husband Adrian) of North Augusta;  her three granddaughters, Colbie, L'yannah, and Sophia; and her sister Ulli Seck and papa Gunter of Grafenrheinfeld, Bavaria, Germany and Carrie Harris, her best friend that she loved dearly.  She also leaves so many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.  she is preceeded in death by her husband Anthony Montgomery and her mother, Helga Markert.  Per Manuela's wishes, no funeral services will be held.  Although her presence may no longer grace our lives, Manuela's spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us.  May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy in all that we do.  Her light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
