Luna Baker

Luna Baker, 100, passed away peacefully at home on May 3, 2022, following an extended illness. She was born in Deatsville, AL to the late G. Harrison Strength and Sara Addie Strength and made her home in Augusta when she married in 1945. She was loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Emmett T. Baker and granddaughter Brittany, her brothers, Marion, Lacy, Johnny & O'Neal Strength and sisters Lora Addie and Lillie Smith. She is survived by her children Sarah McGee (Evans), Judy Bush (Bubba) Augusta and Tommy Baker, Augusta. Grandchildren David McGee, Pam Burke, Joseph Bush, Jennifer Richards and Makaela Baker, 5 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, sister Alice Ward and brother Phillip Strength (Betty). Visitation will be Monday, May 9th from 6-8 at McNeill Funeral Home, 109 Shaw St., Martinez, GA. Graveside service will be Tuesday May 10th at 11:00 at Westover Memorial Park with Chaplin Keith Ferguson. We would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Randall Colvin and his team at CPC for all the care and compassion shown to our Mom over the years. Also a special thanks to Encompass Hospice for the excellent care given to her in these last months.
