Lori Vasilovic

Lori Vasilovic, a beloved partner, sister, aunt, friend, artist, and caregiver of children and animals, went home to be with the Lord on September 6, 2026 at the age of 66.

She shared her life with her devoted husband, James, and together they built a life full of love, creativity, and care. Lori had a generous spirit that touched everything she did. She loved to cook and bake, create art, and was known for her love of animals and children. She worked as an au pair and childcare provider and spent decades teaching at the Atlanta School of Gymnastics. Among her many and varied talents, she was also an underwater photographer and trained massage therapist. Her faith was important to her, and she was a member of Prospect Church in Norwood, GA.

She is survived by her husband and soulmate, James Vasilovic; her sisters Tia (Ron) Russell and Deborah Leatherwood; her brother, Von Eric Hilderbrand; her nephews, Destin T. Leatherwood, Tanner J. (Cheyanne) Wilkie, and Brok Hilderbrand; and her grand nieces and nephews, Destin C. Leatherwood, Tracy Leatherwood, Michael Leatherwood, Marlee Leatherwood, and Tanner E. Wilkie.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Delano Hilderbrand; her mother, Shirley Ann Wilkie; and her brother, Kenneth Matthew Wilkie.

A memorial service will be held at the home of Lori and James, on the front lawn where they once took their vows, on November 7, 2026 at 2pm.
