Martinez, GA. Lidia Maria Medeiros Simoes’ De Almeida, age 69, of Martinez, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014. She was born January 16, 1945, to the late Manuel S. and Maria S. Medeiros. She is survived by her husband, Fernando S. Almeida; her children, George Almeida, Sandra (Piotr) Galaska, Steve (Pilar) Almeida, Jennifer (John) Scalo and Francis S. Almeida; 11 grandchildren, Joshua, Megan, Jordon, Olenka, Alexander, Oliver, Camila, Elaine, Serafina, Alexus and August;sisters and brothers, Margaret, Ana, Paula, Ricardo and the late Manuela. A Memorial Mass will be Friday, 3 pm at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 4921 Columbia Rd., Grovetown, GA., 30813.
