Kevin J Berry II

Kevin Jan Berry (KJ) of Augusta, Georgia, 46, was born August 25, 1979, as the son of Kevin Jan Berry and Cheryl (Mock) Mitchell. He lost his battle with Multiple Myeloma cancer on June 27, 2026. He passed away at his home surrounded by friends and family.

He married his wife Christina (Hatsell) Berry on December 16, 2006, together they have three wonderful children and built a very fulfilling life.

Kevin served in the United States Army from 1999-2005. He served his country honorably with integrity, service before self, and excellence in all he does. Following his military service, he completed an apprenticeship program for IBEW Local Union 1579.

Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family; especially his wife and children. He liked working on vehicles as well as woodworking.

Surviving his passing is his mother Cheryl Mitchell, his wife of 20 years Christina Berry; 2 sons, David Carlin (Tonya) and Isaiah Berry, daughter Katelyn Berry. Also, 2 sisters Miranda Hersey (William) and Megan Mackey (Donald), and 1 brother Jon Berry. He has several nieces and a nephew, whom he also loved dearly, Rosa Hersey, Vivian Hersey, Aiden Mackey, and Allyson Mackey. He also has two grandchildren Isreal Smith-Huffman, and Joshua Smith.

A celebration of life will be held on July 2, 2026, from 1-3pm.Following the service military honors will be at the chapel at 2:30pm by his younger sister Megan Mackey and brother-in-law Donald Mackey, who are both veterans of the United States Air Force.
