Kathy Fretts, 68, of Aiken, South Carolina passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at her home in the arms of her son. Kathy was born and lived in Aiken, had visited Amsterdam and seen Led Zeppelin live, toured the West with the love of her life Robert Fretts; and lived and taken care of her best friend Joan Nichols in Savannah, GA. She was a graduate of Aiken High School and furthered her education at University of Aiken. She was a caring and loving woman that carried her uniqueness as a badge of honor.

Kathy loved her family, her friends, her music, her books, her shows, and her little dogs: Balto and Frodo, and her sister’s dogs: Peanut and Peaches. She loved traveling, and seeing the world through road trips or through the many books that she would devour. She loved her Stephen King. Kathy had the biggest heart and would swallow you in a hug anytime she could. She was loving, opinionated, full of laughter, and a strong sense for compassion and understanding; with a Boundless love for Nature, the Wild, and a Strong Love for God.

Kathy leaves behind so many that will miss her laughter, her smiles, and her extreme love for life. Kathy leaves behind her son, Cody Fretts, her love, Robert Fretts, Sister, Leila Mae Asman, Nephews, Greg Asman, Jeff Asman, and David "Brian" Asman, Grandnieces and grandnephews, Cierra Asman, Ozra, Jenay Asman, Elijah Asman, Macy Asman, Sara Beth Asman, and Julia Asman along with other family and many friends. Kathy was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Bryant, father Macey Bryant, sister Willma Jean "Honey" Bryant and best friend Joan Nichols.
