Joseph Melvin Duncan, 93, passed away on December 26, 2025. He was born on August 28, 1932. A devoted Christian, Joseph lived a life of faith, service, and dedication to his family.
He proudly served in the United States Army and later in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jennie Louise Maddox; his daughter, Ruth Ann Martin; four brothers, Radford Owens, Robert Milton Duncan, Sylvester Alewine, and John Thomas Duncan; and four sisters, Doris Miller, Elsie Fuller, Irene Wilson, and Susie Guthrie.
He is survived by four children: Tony Lee Duncan (Ellie) of Wrens, GA; Sheri Lynn Moore (David) of Nashville, TN; Sonia Kay Titus (Jim) of Grovetown, GA; and Cindy Jo Rentz (Bo) of Greenville, SC; along with 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, many great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday , December 29, at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, 4501 Wrightsboro Rd., Grovetown, GA 30813.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
