Johnny Earle Corlew, 77, of Martinez, Georgia, passed away on November 19th, 2025, in Augusta, Georgia.

Johnny was born in Ripley, Tennessee, to Earle and Pansy Corlew on July 7th, 1948. He married Patricia Hoover on November 3rd, 1977, in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from the University of South Carolina Aiken.

He worked as a Registered Nurse for the United States Army for 20 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the Army, and retired at the rank of Master Sergeant (E-8). He was awarded multiple medals and ribbons. He was an NCO in charge of the 91C at Eisenhower hospital.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael Corlew and his sister Virginia Corlew.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Patricia Hoover; his children, Jennifer Cameron Corlew (Michael), Phillip Corlew, and Cathryn Thomas; and his brothers, Lewis and Tommy, and his sister, Cathryn.

In honour of Johnny, a contribution can be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), www.dav.org, the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), www.taps.org, or the American Heart Association, www.heart.org.

Thank you to all who have come to celebrate Johnny's life, and those who could not be present, we appreciate the outpouring of love and friendship.

Visitation will be 10:00 am on Thursday, the 4th of December, at FairHaven Funeral Home.
