John Sidney Jackson

Mr. John Sidney Jackson Augusta, Ga., entered into rest at his residence. Mr. John Sidney Jackson, husband of Mrs. Sandra L. Jackson. Mr. Jackson was born September 26, 1940 in Columbus, Mississippi and has lived in Augusta the past 25 years. He served in The USMC from 5/1964-9/1975. He retired from SRS Westinghouse. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Bay City, Texas and an Inactive Mason and also a Shriner at Arabia Temple in Houston, Texas. Additional survivors include sons, Troy Jackson (Daniele), Osawatomie, KS, Daniel Reid Jackson, Charlottesville, Va.; daughter, Jennifer Suzanne McRae (Jason), Kingsland, Ga.; nine grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by parents, John Woods Jackson & Linnie Irene Collins Jackson; his sister, Sarah Jewel Doty; and his daughter, JoEllen Elaine Harris. A memorial service with military honors will be conducted Monday September 28th at 3:00 pm at McNeill Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Kalliokoski officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Hospice or to The American Kidney Foundation.
