Jesse Lee Smith Baughman gained his wings on August 31, 2026 at his home in Jackson, SC.

He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on March 16, 1970 to Jesse L. Smith, Sr. and Melodie Snow Smith. Lee loved wildlife photography and he was a gaming enthusiast. He loved his collectibles; his family; his fur baby, Goose…and, more than anything, the love of his life, his husband, Dion.

To cherish his memory, Lee leaves his husband, Charles Dion Baughman; mother, Melodie Snow Smith; father, Jesse (Lynsey) Smith, Sr.; siblings, Glen (Jill) Smith, Lisa (Alex) DeGiuli, Kristina (Chad) Evans and Heather Ward; fourteen nieces and nephews.

Thank you for your loving support to extended family and friends which include, mother-in-law, Ann Baughman; bonus mom, Loris Stallings; siblings, Melanie Burnett, Candy Baughman, Misty (Hugh) Boyce, Robert (Lauren) DeSiders, Joshua Baughman, Eric Baughman; four nieces and three nephews.
