Mr. Jerry Carter Sr., of Augusta, died on Wednesday, October 27, 2010. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Poteet Funeral Home chapel.The committal service will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Karen Carter of Florida; his sons, Jerry Carter Jr. of New Jersey and Michael Carter of Florida; his daughters, Angel Carter of Pennsylvania, Nichol Carter of New Jersey, Lisa Carter of Florida; his brother, Ellis Carter of Georgia; his sisters, Diane Brown of Georgia, and Wanda Walker of Georgia; and a host of nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; and cousins. The Poteet Funeral Homes, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, 706.798.8886 is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
