James William Trow was rescued out of his sickness and into the Lord's presence on October 31, 2026, at the age of 60.

Above all else, James loved Jesus, his wife Paula, and his family. He was a devoted husband, daddy/pop, pop-pop, son, brother, and friend. He found his greatest joys in the people closest to him and treasured the time spent making memories with his family. Whether it was taking road trips, going on a cruise, enjoying his morning cup of coffee, or cheering on his Tampa Bay Bucs and Tampa Bay Rays, James knew how to appreciate the things he loved.

Before his illness, James especially enjoyed playing softball and traveling with his family. He was meticulous, organized, gracious, and generous. He had a gift for working with his hands and a passion for renovating, remodeling, and rehabbing homes. A project around the house was never too big, and there was little James couldn’t figure out how to fix or make better. As a business owner, he took pride in his work and the dedication he brought to everything he did.

James leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his life and the memories they shared. He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Paula Trow; his children, Jami Clark (Colin Clark), Anthony Sgro (Victoria Sgro), and Brooke Sgro; and his eight grandchildren, Roman, Ezrah, Eden, Tatum, Leo, Taylor, Capri, and Judah, who brought him so much joy.

He is also survived by his father, Douglas Penhollow (Cindy Penhollow); his mother, Paula James; and his siblings, Kelley Coolley, Ronelle Hickey, Darren Trow, Lanette Stodart, Nichole Penhollow, Douglas Penhollow II, and Ryan Brightman.

James will be remembered for his love of Jesus, his devotion to his family, his generous heart, his attention to detail, and the countless ways he showed up for the people he loved.

Though his family will deeply miss his presence, they find comfort in the hope of Christ and the promise of eternal life. His life was a gift, his love will live on through the generations, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
