James Terrell Griffin, Sr.

James Terrell Griffin, Sr., 71, entered into rest April 27, 2018, husband of Janie Rentz Griffin. James, a native of Knoxville, TN, lived most of his life in Augusta, Georgia where he worked for Atlanta Gas Light Company for 36 years. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and attended Pineview Baptist Church. Additional survivors include his sons, James Terrell Griffin, Jr., (Joe), Travis James Griffin (Dawn), stepdaughters, Suzanne Wilson (Ed), Sabrina Dodd, Kelley Bennett (John), brother, Thomas Joseph Griffin (Linda) and eight grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and his step daughter, Pamela Byrd. A memorial service will be held at Pineview Baptist Church on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11:00 am with Reverend Michael Davenport officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service.
