James Edward Corley

James Edward Corley, 67, entered into rest August 30, 2020 at his residence in Hephzibah, Georgia. James a native of Augusta was born April 17, 1953 to the late Joe D. Corley and Myrtle Rosier Smoldt. He was a diesel mechanic for Georgia Carolina Trucking. He is survived by his sons, Jamie Corley (Gwen); Ted Hill (Shannon); brothers, Bobby Corley (JoAnne); Doug Corley (Joan); sisters, Phyleas Dixon, Linda Shaw, Barbara Smith, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A special friend Vera P. Corley. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Eric Johnson Corley, brothers, Wesley and Sammy Hollis, Dennis and Joe Corley. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Whispering Pines Baptist Church with Reverend Kevin Towns officiating.
