Horace "Lee" Spence

Hephzibah, GA. Mr. Horace “Lee” Spence, Jr., age 80, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015, at his home with his family surrounding him. Lee retired from 709 Iron Workers Union in Savannah, GA., where he was a welder by trade. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Lee and Virginia Griggs Spence, Sr. and a daughter, Ms. Ginger Lynn Cox. He is survived by the love of his life, Mary Ann Spence; daughters, Brenda Jones and Anne (John) Eubanks; sons, Ricky (Bernice) Spence, Michael Spence and Steve (Julie) Spence; step-children, daughters, Belinda Ramirez, Renea Barnes, Pam Gregory; son, Terry (Kathy) Ellenberg; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Thursday 6 pm to 8 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., HWY 25, Augusta, 30906, 706.798.8886. Graveside Services will be Friday at 1 pm at Davisboro Cemetery in Davisboro, GA., with Chaplain Race Laricsy, officiating.
