AIKEN, SC – HILDA SUDDARTH PARRISH, 102, died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at home peacefully. A native of Nashville, TN, Hilda loved to paint oils and watercolor pictures and wedding invitations. Hilda painted wedding invitations for people from across the country. She was a homemaker while her beloved husband, Joseph Warren Parrish Jr worked at the Savannah River Plant. You could find Hilda each day in the yard sitting on her towel and picking up the pine straw piece by piece and placing them in a plastic bag for removal. She spent many years as a volunteer at Aiken County Hospital greeting and helping others as they arrived. Hilda surrounded herself with many friends most quite her junior in age. She often influenced many with all the stories of life experiences through 102 years of life. Hilda was a member of St John’s United Methodist Church and had a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Survivors include a brother Sam Suddarth, Chattanooga, TN, three grandsons William Joseph (Holly) Parrish, Jr, Atlanta, GA, Joseph Warren Parrish, III, Birmingham, AL and Kenneth Kevin Parrish, Oakland, CA. Also surviving Hilda, a granddaughter Lisa (John) Mezarros, Naples, FL and a grandson Will Parrish, Naples, FL. Preceding Hilda in death were her beloved husband Joseph Warren Parrish, Jr, her two sons William Joseph Parrish, Sr. and Kenneth Warren Parrish, and a grandson Robert Louis Parrish. This world will miss you “Mom”, but you belong to our Lord Jesus Christ, as you always have. Say hello to “Pop” until we meet again…… we love you!
