Helen Rita Marin-Procker

Mrs. Helen Rita “Holly” Marin-Procker of Harlem GA, and formally of Pinckney MI, passed away unexpectedly after complications following a medical procedure. She entered into eternal rest at the age of 78, listening to her favorite music with her family by her side at Doctors Hospital in Augusta GA.
Mrs. Marin-Procker was born in Detroit MI and was the daughter and youngest child of William Henry Shier and Helen Rita Porzondek. She enjoyed vegetable gardening and cooking, painting and ceramics, music and dancing, playing cards and games, collecting vintage costume jewelry, fishing and traveling with her family. She was a volunteer in her community and gave generously to her favorite animal charities. She looked forward to long walks with both her dog Blue and her dogs’ cat Saki.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings; brothers Bill Shier, Jim Shier, Jack Shier and her sister and best friend Maryann Merte; daughter in-law Lorraine Hennessey-Marin; in-laws Margo Shier, Lorraine Shier, Leonard Procker, Mary and Bill Uscategui, Gilbert and Gloria Marin, Richard and Gloria Marin; nephew Teddy Uscategui; and several cousins and dear friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 38 years, Harry John Procker; her children Shelly and Rob Drumm of Harlem GA, Bobby Marin of Lauderhill FL, Scott and Sandy Marin of Thibodaux LA; her grandsons Dylan and Ryan Drumm of GA and Vincent Marin of LA; her step grandchildren and step great grandchildren of LA and MO; her ex-husband Bobby and Sonia Marin of FL; her adored cousins, nieces and nephews in MI, FL and NY; her in-laws in CA, NY, MI and FL; and longtime cherished friends in NY and MI.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter or rescue in her name. Memorial celebrations of life will be held in GA and MI, where her ashes will be spread on her gardens and favorite fishing spots.
