Frank Edwards, a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and proud veteran, departed this life on May 9th, 2025, at the age of 53. His passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Born on December 4, 1971, in Chicago, Illinois, Frank served his country honorably in the United States Army, exemplifying strength, courage, and dedication. His service reflected the integrity and commitment he carried throughout his life.
After his military career, Frank continued to make a lasting impact on everyone around him. He was known for his sharp wit, love for a good debate—especially about politics—his trips to the gun range, and his joy for Sunday football. His laughter, strength, and presence will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his mother, Josephine Neighbors; sisters, Donna Edwards and Sandra Burgess; brother, Darryl Edwards; and daughter, Alissa Cyr. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews whom he adored and cherished deeply. Frank was preceded in death by his father, Frank Phillips. Though he is no longer physically with us, the love and memories he shared will live on in our hearts forever.
A memorial service to honor Frank’s life will be held at a later date. The family will provide updates as plans are finalized.
Rest easy, Frank. Your battle is over, your duty fulfilled. We’ll take it from here.
