Faye Jeanette Jones, 77, of North Augusta, South Carolina, passed away on August 10, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime defined by faith, family, laughter, and an extraordinary capacity to care for others.
Faye was a lifelong, devout Christian whose faith was at the center of her life. She was an original member of Victory Baptist Church, where she found fellowship that remained an important part of her life throughout the years.
Caring for others came naturally to Faye. For 25 years, she owned and operated an in-home daycare, opening not only her home but her heart to more than 200 children over the years. She loved to tell stories about the children who are now all grown up, as well as seeing the little families they created.
Above all, Faye loved her family. She was a loving and supportive mother who was always there when she was needed—even if that support occasionally came with a little stubbornness of her own. She loved deeply, cared deeply, and always made sure the people around her knew it.
Faye is survived by her husband (Earl Jones); her children, James Jones (Pam), Amy Jones (Larry Davenport), and Joy Jones. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Britney Flowers (TJ), and her beloved great-granddaughter, Wren Flowers, whom Faye lovingly called “her heart”.
She was preceded in death by her son, Russell Hiott.
Those who knew Faye will always remember the love she spread wherever she went. They will remember her laugh, the many meals she prepared, and the love she gave to her family and to countless children throughout her life.
Faye’s presence will be deeply missed. But the love she poured into her family, her faith, and the many children fortunate enough to have been cared for by her will continue long after her passing.
Her family is finding comfort in knowing that Faye is now in the arms of Jesus, a moment she faithfully looked forward to throughout her life.
The family will gather privately for a memorial service to celebrate Faye’s life and the many memories she leaves behind.
