Master Evan Oliver Phillips Son of SSG Jeremy E. and Mrs. Holly K. Phillips Master Evan Oliver Phillips died on November 21, 2010.He was five years old. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 26, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Along with his parents, SSG Jeremy E. Phillips and Holly K. Phillips, of Augusta, Evan is survived by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Judy Phillips, of Fredericksburg, Virginia; his maternal grandparents, Carl Wennberg and Rhonda Frey, of La Plata, Maryland; paternal aunts and uncles, Holly (John) Smith, and their son, Ethan, and Jonathan (Vanessa) Phillips; maternal aunt and uncle, Shelley (Rick) Wheatley; paternal great-grandparents, Virginia Phillips and Marilyn and John Hogancamp; maternal great-grandmother, Shirley Myers; numerous aunts, uncles and other family members. Evan was born on March 9, 2005 in Bethesda, Maryland.He was an outgoing and friendly young man who never met a stranger.He loved to play with cars, Legos, and his parents.He was a student in Ms. Blackwell’s kindergarten class at McBean Elementary School.Evan intended to join the Army and become a doctor when he grew up.
