Elizabeth Johnson

Elizabeth Johnson Augusta, GA, entered into rest February 1st, 2015 at Golden Living- Windemere. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Wilkes County, Georgia, but spent most of her life in Augusta. She was a member of Mize Memorial United Methodist Church and was a daycare and nursery worker. She is survived by her three daughters, Mary Alice Jackson (Robert) of Augusta, GA, Nora Louise Webb (Mike) of Washington, GA, and Jeannie Johnson Ray of Washington, GA; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Roy Lester Johnson, Jr. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4th at Mize Memorial United Methodist Church, with Reverend Brian Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers include David Staton, Donnie Ray, Brandon Webb, Logan Meek, Clem Slaton, Daniel Slaton. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association- Augusta’s Regional Office 106 SRP Drive, Suite A, Evans, GA 30809. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
