Edda Christa Lollar, age 66, passed away on January 14, 2026, after a 7-year battle with Primary Progressive Aphasia. Born on November 27, 1959, in Nördlingen, Germany, Christa later made her home in Appling, Georgia, where she built a life filled with love, faith, and devotion to family.
Christa was the heart of her family — a devoted wife to Robert Lollar, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother, “Oma,” who cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lollar; her children, Sabrina Thomas (Rob), Mary Kate Shealy (Forrest), and John Charles Lollar (Lindsey); and her beloved grandchildren, Will and Charles Thomas; Hudson, Slade, and Austyn Kate Shealy; and Wilkes and Lennox Lollar. Other survivors include her family in Germany, Axel (Michaela), Heiko (Tanja), Denise, Marcel, and Daniel.
Christa loved people deeply and always put others before herself. She worked hard in everything she did and gave her best with quiet strength and dedication. Kind-hearted and warm, she never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel like family.
She will be remembered for her love for Jesus, generous heart, and courage. She left a lasting mark on all who knew her.
In Lieu of flowers please consider a donation in her honor to the Damascus Baptist Cemetery Fund.
Visitation will be held on January 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM, at Damascus Baptist Church in Leah, GA.
