Dr. Joseph E. Mccarthy

Dr. Joseph E. McCarthy, 82, of Augusta, GA passed away peacefully on October 21, 2022. Joseph was born in Massachusetts but once settled in Maine, called that wonderful state home. He graduated from Biddeford High School, acquired his Bachelor’s from what was St. Francis College (Now the University of New England) and moved on to Oregon State University where he completed a Master’s Program as well as his PhD in Marine Biology. He is survived by his second wife Jeannine Morrell McCarthy, his children, Victoria and Kevin, his sister Mary, and brother Paul. He is preceded in death by his first wife Santa Anne.
