Dorothy King Adkins

Dorothy (Pauline) King Adkins – Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt - 88 years old – of Evans, GA passed peacefully at Doctor’s Hospital on Thursday January 29, 2026. Dorothy was born in Vidalia, GA on September 10th, 1937. She worked at the VA hospital in Augusta, GA, Days in in Atlanta and later as a devoted Nanny to several children. Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter Catherine (Bain) Broome, parents Isabelle (Reese) and Augustus King and her sister Sybil Bennett and brother Bo King. She is survived by her daughter Angela (Buster) Bentley, granddaughter Shelby Bentley, grandsons Benjamin Broome, Brandon Broome, and sisters Joyce Bassett and Robinette King. She loved flowers, gospel music, watching the birds in her back yard and garage sales. She was a devout Christian and a member of Marvin Methodist Church. There will be a Celebration of Life for family and friends at Fairhaven Funeral Home on Saturday March 21st, 2026 at 2:00pm - 3507 Wrightsboro Road Augusta, GA 30909.
