Augusta, GA Charles C. Watson, age 78, of Augusta, GA., passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013. He was the son of the late Joe Ballard and Maybelle Frances Johnson Watson.He retired after 20 years from the U.S. Army as a Cook. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Herta (Bush) Watson; his children, Patricia (Ron) Millican of Rome, GA., Beverly Abney of Cedartown, GA., Bennie (Geoff) Singleton of Rockmart, GA., and Nicole (Mark) Frazier of Martinez, GA; 9 grandchildren;15 great grandchildren;one adopted son and fishing buddy, Gerald Watts;2 brothers, Robert Watson and Jack Watson. Visitation will be Tuesday (TODAY) from 7 pm to 9 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd, HWY 25, Augusta, 30906, 706.798.8886.
