Carolyn Jane Isham - Jackson

May 31, 1957 — Aug 1, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carolyn Jane Isham-Jackson, who peacefully

passed away on August 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Born on May 31, 1957, in DeKalb, Illinois, Carolyn was the daughter of Joe Isham Sr. and Betty Gass.

Carolyn's greatest blessing in life was her family. She was a devoted mother to her son, Kevin Isham,

whose love and dedication to her never wavered.

She especially cherished the time she spent with her granddaughter, Marissa ("Rissa") Isham. Whether

they were watching 9-1-1 together, sharing conversations, laughing together, or simply enjoying each

other's company, those moments meant the world to her. In recent years, Carolyn also welcomed

Stormie and Summer Campbell into her heart as her bonus granddaughters. From the very beginning,

she loved them as family, and they loved calling her Grandma. They brought so much joy to her life,

and she treasured every moment she spent with them.

Carolyn had a heart big enough for everyone. She was compassionate, thoughtful, and the kind of

person who made others feel at home. She listened without judgment, offered encouragement when

it was needed most, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. If someone needed her, she was there.

She found happiness in life's simple pleasures. One of her favorite places to be was sitting on the front

porch with a strong cup of coffee, listening to the birds sing and watching the world around her. She

loved Christmas and everything that came with it, never passed up a good Hallmark movie and loved

expressing her creativity through arts and crafts.

Carolyn also had a special love for animals. Her beloved cats-Gracie, Harley, and Whiskers-were

treasured companions, and she never met an animal she didn't care for.

In the final months of her life, Carolyn faced every challenge with remarkable courage and grace.

Although cancer changed many things, it never changed the kindness, warmth, sarcasm and love that

defined who she was. She found comfort in being surrounded by those she loved most, and her family

considered it a privilege to walk beside her, caring for her with the same love she had always given so

freely. The love shared during those final months was a reflection of the beautiful life she had built and

the lasting impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Carolyn is survived by her loving son, Kevin Isham (Ashley Campbell) her grandchildren, Marissa ("Rissa")

Isham, Tyler Isham, Dylan Isham, Stormie Campbell, and Summer Campbell; her sisters, Lillian Carter

(Ralph Carter) and Joann Lowe; her brother, Tim Isham (Angie Isham); numerous nieces and nephews;

extended family; and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Isham Sr. and Betty Gass; her sister, Kathy Isham; and

her brother-in-law, Wade Lowe.

Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Carolyn's kindness, warmth, laughter,

sarcasm, and unconditional love will live on in the countless lives she touched. She leaves behind a

legacy of compassion, generosity, and unwavering love for her family that will never be forgotten.

So whenever you hear the birds singing, enjoy a warm cup of coffee on the porch, watch a Hallmark movie,

hang a favorite Christmas ornament, cuddle a beloved pet, or simply take a moment to help someone

in need, think of Carolyn. Those simple moments were some of her greatest joys, and through them,

her love and memory will continue to live on.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
