In Loving Memory of Brenda Fae Massenburg

Brenda Fae Massenburg, born on February 22, 1956, passed away peacefully in the early hours of July 17, 2026, at the age of 70, and went home to be with the Lord. With heavy hearts, we announce her passing, but we find comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and is now at peace in the presence of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Brenda was a woman of incredible strength, resilience, and unwavering faith. She faced many challenges throughout her life with courage and determination, including a lifelong battle with health struggles that she carried with remarkable strength. Through every season, Brenda never allowed those challenges to take away her joy, her compassion, or her faith in Jesus.

Brenda was a devoted member of New Life Church, where she faithfully attended every Sunday until she was no longer physically able. Her love for the Lord remained steadfast throughout her life, and her faith was a beautiful example to those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by all of her siblings except her beloved sister, Sandra Peele.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, David Massenburg; her children, James McKinnie Jr. and Jennifer McKinnie; her stepchildren, Tracy Skarosi and Jason Massenburg; her grandchildren, Kassie Arceneaux, Kameron McKinnie, Pierce Tharin, and Taylor Tharin; her treasured great-granddaughter, Jaci-Belle Ford; and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Brenda was known for being headstrong and never afraid to speak her mind. She had strong opinions and stood firmly by what she believed, but beneath that strength was a heart full of compassion. She was a giver who found joy in helping others and always made sure the people she loved were cared for.

Above all else, Brenda loved her grandchildren and her great-granddaughter with all her heart. They were some of the greatest joys of her life. She treasured every moment with them, took immense pride in watching them grow, and loved them unconditionally. The love she poured into her family will continue to live on through each of them.

Though we grieve her absence, we celebrate a life marked by strength, generosity, faith, and unconditional love. Brenda leaves behind a legacy of compassion, devotion to her family, and steadfast trust in the Lord that will never be forgotten.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23

Brenda will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
