Betty F. Hillis

Augusta, GA. Betty F. Hillis, age 74, of Augusta, passed away September 7, 2015 at The Place at Deans Bridge Nursing Home. She was born December 5, 1940 in Augusta, to the late James A. and Sadie Gay Ford. She is survived by her husband, James H. Hillis; children, Danny Smith, Donna Davis, Cathy Royston and Angie Smith; 1 sister, Pauline Brouillard; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Thursday 6 pm to 8 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., Augusta, 30906. Funeral Services will be Friday 1 pm at the funeral home with Pastor John Bartlett, officiating.Burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bettys’ honor to the American Cancer Society.
