Anne Watson Fischer

Anne Watson Fischer of Augusta, GA, passed away May 9, 2025. Anne was born at Ft. Gordon, GA to Major Richard E. and Margaret Ledford Watson on February 12, 1953, the eldest of four children.

Anne was predeceased by her grandparents Ebezene Bryan & Ethel Victoria Watson, Leonard H. & Annie Lou Ledford, parents Maj. (Ret.) Richard E. & Margaret Ledford Watson and two of her siblings: Margaret E. Watson and Richard E. Watson, Jr.

Anne is survived by three sons: Kenneth W. Grier (Niki), John David Grier of North Augusta, SC, & Michael C. Grier (Amanda) of Charleston, SC; grandchildren: Ava Grier, Sophia Grier, Kyleigh Grier Norris, Evan Grier, Laci Grier, Aiden Grier, Cullen Grier, Georgia (Gigi) Grier, Eden (Ginny) Grier; great grandchild Jagger Norris; her sister Victoria Jane Watson; nephews: Joseph Christopher Watson, Conner Watson Coll, and niece Emily Watson Field.

The family would like to thank the staff at Augusta Gardens (especially Macy) and the staff at Heartland Hospice for their care and compassion.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on July 17, 2025 at Hillcrest Memorial Park (Mausoleum) in Augusta, Georgia, with Rev. Greg Hatfield officiating.
